[Temporarily Closed due to Renovation - Taiwan Salmon Eco Center]
The exhibition room of Taiwan Salmon Eco Center is temporarily closed between October 11 and December 31, 2017
The exhibition room of Taiwan Salmon Eco Center at Wuling Recreation Area in Shei-pa National Park is temporarily closed between October 11 and December 31, 2017 due to renovation for its exhibition items.
Taiwan Salmon Eco Center is a popular must-go place when visiting the Wuling area, with more than 100 thousand people annually visiting the Center to learn about the achievements in the conservation of salmon. Among the many attractive scenes is the aquarium that mimics natural habitats, so that people can get a close look at treasure fishes swimming easily in the water, and observe the 8 to 12 oval spots on the side of their bodies. Since its opening in 2006, the Center has seen its display boards, graphics, and lighting equipment show signs of age, making renovation necessary after more than 10 years of use. Thus, updates for the exhibition items and improvement of the facility will be underway starting October 11. Once renovation is completed, more interactive display facilities and contents related to Taiwan salmon will be featured, in addition to the all-new illustration boards and signs, offering visitors the ability to experience and learn about the unique ecological beauty of Taiwan salmon. The Center is scheduled for reopening on January 1, 2018. During this period of renovation, visitors are advised to visit the Wuling Visitor Center, where various multimedia videos on the ecological features are available for viewing. Visitors can also go to the hiking experience area for trying out bouldering and hiking under different conditions of blood pressure and hydrogen. In addition, the fish-watching platform or Wuling Suspension Bridge on Wuling Road also offer the opportunity to see wild treasure fish behavior such as sand stirring, nest building, and mating.
