Introduction to the recreation area
The Qijiawan ancient site was discovered in the Wuling area, on the river terrace where Hoya Resort is located. The numerous relics unearthed include remnants of houses and fires, animal bones, ceramics, stone objects, jade objects and fishing net weights. It is one of the few high mountain ancient sites discovered so far in Taiwan and shows that in prehistoric times the Wuling area had a human settlement where the people survived by fishing and farming.
